"I'LL BE BAACK"
.Japan is inviting California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to visit in an effort to win a fierce international competition over a planned high-speed railway in the United States.
Schwarzenegger will ride a bullet train when he travels to the country, likely in September.
Transport Minister Seiji Maehara will try to sell him on Japan's Shinkansen technology, which is considered safe and earthquake resistant. He'll also emphasize that Schwarzenegger can create jobs by manufacturing bullet train cars locally. California and 12 other regions are planning to build high-speed rail networks to cut greenhouse gas emissions. Japan is competing against France, Germany, and China to win contracts. California is expected to hold a bid for its project by year-end.
