Crocodile predicts Australian election results
A crocodile that predicted the winner of the World Cup of soccer has used his power again to pick the winner of Australia's election.
Harry is kept in a tourist facility in Darwin, Northern Australia.
Harry predicted that Spain would win the World Cup in South Africa. He is viewed as a competitor to the octopus that correctly predicted whether Germany would win or lose throughout the tournament.
Australia's general election is a close contest between the Labor Party led by the country's first woman prime minister, Julia Gillard, and the conservative coalition that hopes to reclaim power after 3 years of Labor governance.
Harry selected the winner in his pen. A piece of chicken with a caricature of Gillard and another with the image of her opponent were dangled in front of him.
After staring at both candidates from underwater for about 5 minutes, Harry suddenly lifted his 700-kilo body and snatched at the chicken under Gillard's image.
By Sunday morning, results will show whether Harry is right.
