Daihatsu recalling 880,000 passenger cars
Japanese carmaker Daihatsu is recalling some 880,000 light passenger vehicles due to defective door mirrors.
Daihatsu notified the transport ministry of the recall --- Japan's fifth largest --- on Thursday.
The recalled cars are the Move and Tanto brands manufactured between October 2006 and April 2010.
Daihatsu warns that door mirrors on these cars could become loose, or even completely detached in the worst case scenario. It says 15 cases of detachment have already been reported.
